Ziaul Haque

Ziaul Haque is a son of Kushtia. He was born on February 14, 1960. His childhood, adolescence, and early youth were spent in Karachi, where his father was serving in the then Pakistan Navy. In 1974, he returned to Philipnagar in Daulatpur, Kushtia. He studied Mental Health Nursing, Mental Health, and Psychiatric Rehabilitation. Most recently, he completed courses in Mental Health, EMI, and Dementia Management at the University of Bristol in England. He later worked in England as a Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead at a private mental health hospital. A sailor’s anchor rests at many ports. Ziaul Haque, the son of a sailor, began writing almost playfully during his childhood. Like his father, he has spent nearly two-thirds of his life outside Bangladesh. After travelling through various countries around the world, he eventually settled permanently in England for professional reasons and now writes regularly. So far, 22 of his books have been published. Among his notable works are Boi Khata Kolom, Manob Shompod Unnoyone Al-Quran, Britene Muslim Shashok, Bangladesher Shikkhaniti O Shikkhabebostha, Islam: Shobhyotar Shesh Thikana, Islami Shashon Bebostha: Moulik Dorshon O Shortaboli, Dhoronir Pothe Pothe, and Ontor Momo Bikoshito Koro.
