Naeem Siddiqui

Naeem Siddiqui (1916–2002) was a Pakistani Islamic scholar, writer and literary figure. He was among the early members of Jamaat-e-Islami and a close associate of Maulana Abul A‘la Maududi. His writings covered Islamic thought, society, economics, politics, literature and issues concerning Muslim society. Siddiqui began his literary career through the periodical Kausar and later worked as an editor of Charagh-i-Rah. He contributed poetry, short stories, essays and research-based writings to Islamic literary publications. He was also associated with the editing of Tarjuman-ul-Quran. Among his notable works are Muhsin-e-Insaniyat, Al-Maududi, and Pachpan Saala Rifaqqat, along with writings on Islamic social, economic and intellectual thought.
